The Carol May School of Dance
& Performing Arts

The Carol May School of Dance and Performing Arts was established in 1982.
Since then it has greatly progressed into the successful
and friendly school it is today.

Classes are held in a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere for both children
and adults, beginner to advanced.

Pupils are prepared for RAD and ISTD exams,
LAMDA Speech and Drama and RSM Singing Syllabi.

Pupils can enjoy classes as a hobby, or can seek a more
serious level if they have chosen dance as their career.

Students are given the opportunity to take part in festival competitions
both locally and nationally.
They also enrich their stage experience with performances at venues such as:

The Charter Theatre (Preston)
The Globe (Blackpool)
Her Majesty’s Theatre (London)
The Palace Theatre (Manchester)
Disneyland Resort Paris
The Royal Albert Hall
Pontins (Blackpool)
Marriott Hotel (Preston)

Carol May has trained pupils who have gained places at Doreen Bird,
Arts Educational, The Royal Ballet School, The Hammond, Merseyside Dance
and Drama, Northern Ballet School and from here they progressed onto
West End shows, Ballet companies, musicals and teaching both at home and abroad.
